How to play
Each day, replay one game and guess White’s recorded rating. Daily guesses lock when submitted. The rating and the original crowd’s median become available at midnight UTC, shown in your local time on the game page.
Older games are practice: make a guess to see your result. Practice guesses never change the original crowd result.
One browser, one guess
A private browser cookie remembers your participation. Clearing cookies or using another browser or device creates a new identity. We don’t require accounts or claim to verify one human per vote.
Games & pieces
Submitted games are imported from Chess.com’s official public archives. A verified import confirms the game’s source, not ownership of a Chess.com account. The target rating comes from the original PGN’s WhiteElo header.
